Saddest Songs 1990’s

Much like the music of the 1980’s, the music of the 1990’s were reactionary as well. The Pop music of the late 1980’s was like eating candy; it tastes good but too much will make you sick. And thats just what adolescents of the decade were: sick and wanting something new. Before, this decade, sad songs would account for about two track on the average album.

Now in the nineties, we began to see sadder songs, account for far many of the hits topping the charts. Alternative Rock and Grunge were the predominant music genres and rocked the anthems of a new generation of youth. Generation “X” was disillusioned, bored, depressed and needed a voice of their generation.
